Clematis Collection. 3 Compact Easy to Grow Climbers ideal for smaller patio spaces or containers.'Andromeda', 'Multi Blue' & 'Sunset'.

Name: Clematis Collection. 3 Compact Easy to Grow Climbers ideal for smaller patio spaces or containers.'Andromeda', 'Multi Blue' & 'Sunset'.

Description: Clematis 'Andromeda' is a wonderful NEW Clematis with large creamy pink flowers that are brought to life by the darker pink centers and golden yellow stamens. Many have claimed Clematis 'Andromeda' is an improvement on Clematis 'Nelly Moser' with its two flowering periods and growing in sun or shade. Its improvement are its blooms - first with semi-double flowers in May and June and again in September and October with large, single flowers. The flowering height is also improved as it flowers from LOW ON THE VINE. Its compact habit makes it great for the patio area and container growing and will reach a height of 2 -3 metres. With Clematis 'Andromeda' you only need to light prune in early spring (mid Feb) as it flowers from the previous years growth (take out any weak or damaged stems) and after you have enjoyed the wonderful display of double flowers, prune again (only a light trim to tidy) to boost the vine for its autumn display. Will grow in sun or semi-shade. Clematis 'Multi Blue' has attractive navy blue, double flowers with the centre tepals being slighlty paler in colour tinged green-cream around the edges and at the tip. These gorgeous blooms appear all summer long, although ones produced towards the end of the season may be semi-double. Clematis 'Multi Blue' has bright to mid-green leaves which compliment these dramatic blooms magnificently. Being of a compact habit 'Multi Blue' is ideal for smaller gardens and growing in containers. To prune, remove any dead or weak stems in late winter or early spring and cut remaining stems back to the highest pair of strong-growing buds.To encourage blooms to cover the whole plant, train the stems so that they are evenly spaced on their support. As new growth appears in mid-spring, train this to fill any gaps - giving a simply outstanding performance. This clematis with its deep navy blue flowers looks stunning when planted next to other varieties in yellow, such as 'Bill MacKenzie' or heavenly when planted with Jasmine 'Clotted Cream' - Real 'WOW!' Clematis 'Sunset' is an outstanding NEW INTRODUCTION breed for patio containers and colourful displays in smaller patio spaces. This climbing plant is compact and free flowering starting low down on the vine and only grows to 6 - 8 ft (2 - 2.5m) in height. Also has a long flowering period as it flowers from May to October. Clematis 'Sunset' will grow in any aspect and only needs a light pruning early spring ( Mid Feb ). Has an outstanding colour combination of deep plumy red flowers with a purple central bar and striking bright yellow stamens. Flowers are strong 15cm diameter and hold well on the vine. An outstanding Clematis that thrives in every aspect. Clematis 'Sunset' is particularly useful for fences, arbors, trellises, poles and other garden supports. It can also be grown over natural supports such as coniferous or deciduous bushes and dwarf shrubs. Performs very well in containers and certainly does bring your garden alive year after year!
